This model helicopter plane flies very well. It seems hard to control at times. It had many crashes but no damage so far. Battery life on the model is very short 5 minutes after an hour charging. Perhaps this could improve in later models.

After playing Apples to Apples with my brother and his wife, I knew it was a game my students would enjoy. I searched Amazon and found the junior version. Perfect! My students love to play Apples to Apples Junior and would play it every day if I let them. I like that it has the students making connections, looking at synonyms and antonyms, talking about nouns and adjectives. When the kids are having fun, they keep playing. With this game they are playing and learning.

My nine-year-old grandson could barely wait to open this set and could not be lured away once he began assembling it. I certainly scored major points for this present :) He loves the set.



The pieces assemble into the entire Quidditch game set up with the little trunk and various `balls' and several players with capes, bats and brooms, plus the tower and hoops--and I've probably forgotten something.



Some of the pieces are tiny, but he had no trouble assembling them and happily playing the intended game with the players, but then also some other games of his own invention. There is an extra `snitch' (the tiniest of all) which I expect is because that's the key ball and due to its small size, might be easy to lose.



Given the pleasure the set generated, it was money well spent, and I'm sure it would be greatly enjoyed by other Harry Potter fans.

Having fun building then get playing! by Vynny
I can't say I'm the target demographic for this one so I had a friend's kids come around and play for a while. Tyler who is 12 got right up to speed reading every aspect of the instructions, taking charge and ensuring it was going to be suitable for his younger sibling (around 6). Once he felt he was ready to play, he began setting everything up and they both got down to the fun. During the game it was great to see how inventive it allowed the players to be, with rotating staircases and other movable parts ensuring no two play throughs were alike. Ultimately it got a big thumbs up and so I'll leave the rest of the review to Tyler...



"The Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts was easily put together using the directions, the game is always changing who's winning and who's losing and it keeps things interesting! It has its ups and downs but overall is a great game. 4 stars out of 5"

An Excellent Toy for Today's Toddlers by JJ Stark
Everyone in my family has their own cell phone and the kids have ipods and iphones. We all use the computer regularly and I'm always on my laptop. I decided to buy this for my granddaughter for her 4th Bday and I'm so glad I did. She absolutely LOVES this toy.



The game comes preloaded with a few games, music and pictures, so it's not necessary to spend additional money right away. I find this to be a HUGE plus and makes the $70 price tag an even better deal. If you do decide to purchase additional games, the titles are familiar to today's kids - Disney Princess, Toy Story, Sponge Bob, Dora the Explorer, etc. Each title comes with a few leaning activities, games, music and more. But there's enough on the hand-held as it comes out of the box to keep your kids entertained for hours.



The best bonus is that you can upload pics and music from your PC so that the kids can have their own MP3 player or digital photo album. Once the pics are loaded onto the hand-held, kids can play with them, creating their own artwork, creating puzzles and music videos and so much more.



The stylus is easy to use, but I find that most of the time, she uses her fingertips, which works just as well. I love the hand-writing application. In just a short amount of time, I already see an improvement in her letter formations and shapes.



We've only had this toy for a week, so I would imagine there's a lot more to learn about it, but I'm very impressed with this toy as is my granddaughter. She no longer wants to play on my laptop or with her mommy's iPhone as she's too busy playing with her own hand-held device.



I'm glad I bought this now rather than waiting for Xmas (as I originally considered), because I can see this being a hot seller this holiday season and would be an amazing find underneath those trees on Xmas morning. Highly recommended!!

There is not much to say about a bucket and a few solid plastic shapes. The shapes fit through the correct cut outs on the lid which helps. The lid does not snap on so if the bucket is tipped over everything will spill out. I bought this for my 7 month old who likes to chew on the lid and plastic shapes more than putting them in the bucket. I am pretty sure at this stage I am having more fun putting the shapes in the bucket than she is. My daughter gets a kick out of playing with the shapes so at the end of the day it is still a fun toy for all.

Great Learning and Entertainment Toy by M. Foster
We bought this for my oldest daughter when she was 2.5yrs old (now nearly 4) she still loves to play with it. She has been able to practice drawing letters on it shortly after we bought it, which was impressive! I loved that it used games and tracing to help engage them. My youngest daughter also loves to play with it. She just turned 2. Even though this toy is a bit advanced for her, she loves to explore the letters and games it has. This toy also gets "handled" by both girls and not gently sometimes. It still looks and works great! My favorite use for this toy is to keep it in our car or backpack for travel. This is really handy to keep them busy in drs offices or while on longer drives.

my 4 yr old understands it now & my 5 yr old understands it and they can both do a complete circuit with the fan or lamp without my assistance. They love this for short periods of time, frequently. I believe it is fairly dummy/kid proof but using the sound cards, you really have to stick to the schematic- my 5 yr old CAN do that unassisted IF he WANTS to- 4 yr old cannot build from schematic without my assistance. There are obviously a limited number of components so you cannot expect to make the mars rover here- it's just simple circuits and there's not a whole lot of possibilities as to your configuration and end product however the lesson is LEARNED!! Great product! I highly recommend this!! :)

My mom got this for my 2 yr old because he started saying "Yay Baby". This mickey says that as well as so much more! It keeps my two kids on their feet dancing for hours a day. We have only had it a couple of weeks but I can tell that we will get lots of enjoyment out of it. I just wish it did the 'hot dog dance' from the show! We purchased this for our 13 month old grandson Caleb last night. Got it home, papaw spent just a few minutes putting it together and loading the batteries. We brought our grandson into the room and showed him 1 time how to turn on the spinning table, that is all it took. He was up and operating this toy on his own. He smiled, giggled, clapped, and danced to this toy. While grandpa and grandma sat back and truly enjoyed their time with their grandson. This toy absolutely rocks, and I don't understand some of the other reviews. Caleb was gathering other items to put on the spinner (his shoes, sippy cup, papaws golf ball, his uncles hot wheels) and he was even sitting in the middle of the spinner himself and turning it on to rock and dance to the tunes. The toy takes a beating and still keeps on going. He finally fell asleep while playing with the toy, and first thing in the morning he was right back at it again. I would recommend this toy for any child. I think maybe 6 months is too early other than safety factor for the toy... but you can use your own judgment when your child is able to operate this toy. I think 9 months and older is more like it. Good going Fisher Price !!! Another great toy for either boy or girl to play with.

This toy seems to be holding up well, although has not yet had heavy use. The speaking voice is easy to understand, and is not annoying. So far, we only have the starter pack of cards, but will be buying more. This is a great toy for parent-child interaction, but children can be happy playing alone with it as well. Age 4 to 4 1/2 is probably about the upper end of the primary interest level for Alphie, by my guess. But I think some 2 year olds would have fun with it too, if guided during play.

Super Cool Hagrid's Hut Lego Kit by C. Irish
This is an excellent Harry Potter Lego set. While I'm not a pro with the Lego's I thought this would be a really neat set since we've been playing Harry Potter Lego 1-4 for the Wii and I saw the new kits for sale so we bought one. The Lego's are magical and if you follow the directions closely you come out with a really neat rendition of Hagrid's Hut. The kit includes Mini Figures of Harry, Ron, Hermoine and Hagrid. You get a couple of owls, Scabbers, a big figure of Aragog that you put together (and he turns out really cool, too), and you get the awesome hut and some little crawly spiders to put around.



The hut is charming inside and out and is decorated better than I thought it would turn out. Hagrid has pots, a fire that uses a special lego block that is a light and a cute, charming door that opens and closes, and he has his baby hatchling dinosaur.



This is a wonderful Hagrid's hut if you like Harry Potter Lego sets. We've enjoyed putting it together and we are going to display it with some other Harry Potter things we have. The kit was a lot of fun to put together and it really turned out neat after following the detailed instructions. The instructions for the more complicated kits means that kids, and adults have to think and follow them to create the finished product. The instructions are very good. I kept wondering how people design these! I would recommend this Lego Set for all Harry Potter fans. Putting this together meant spending some fun time with the kids and the end product was really cool. We did the Dobby kit first to warm up with and really liked it and moved on to the more complicated Hagrid's Hut kit. I would like to sometime move on to the beautifully designed Hogwarts Castle. These new generation Lego Sets are really wonderful. I would recommend adding them to any Harry Potter fan's Christmas list. They are just out now in the stores, and if you hurry....

My 5-year old daughter and my 3-year old son love the Leap Frog Tag Reading System. As a mom, I often buy educational toys only to have my children toss them aside because they are not fun - but this is not at all the case with the Tag. My children play with this toy for hours and they learn so much. In the sample book that comes in the package there is an activity in which children have to identify specific countries in Africa - to my suprise, after about an hour, my children were naming countries in Africa and having FUN doing it! Tag is also helping them to read. On each page of the Tag books there is an icon that you can touch the pen to that reads the page for you - or, you can also touch the tag to the individual words and it will read it as well. This is a great toy for around the house, in the car, pretty much anywhere - we even bring it on walks and it keeps the kids entertained so they don't complain. Definately purchase this toy if you are interested - you will be glad that you did!

Must Have Holiday Gift by Ryan Encarnacion
This is definitely going to be THE hot item for the holiday season. I just picked up two of these at Toys R US for 69.99 each. Walmart.com and Target.com were both sold out already.



I opened one and started playing with it at work. Everyone at the office went crazy and fell in love with it. I got 3 offers to buy the second one that I had. My 16 month old son is absolutely going to go bananas over this thing. We watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse at home, and he dances everytime there's a song on.



Mickey walks, turns, sings, dances, and even moonwalks. From what I've heard so far, there are about 6 different songs. Everything from Latin to Techno. Couple of the featured songs were "Get up offa that Thing" and "Shake your Groove Thing."
