It looks more like an actual rifle, and is considerably lighter than the longshot. Only complaint is that once you put the stock on, you can't take it off like with the Recon. Not really worth more than (...) dollars, but I bought it because it looked really cool and I love collecting nerf guns. It fires better without the barrel, but don't worry it still comes off. This was bought cheaper at Kroger, I don't recommend buying for the current price listed here. The toys/accessories that come with the baby are not usable with the toy other than through imagination, this does not bother my 4 year old daughter at all. The accessories are soft and pliable but the hamster is hard plastic and fuzzy, although the fuzz feels like it could easily be scuffed off. They are very cute and my daughter loves to play with it, although it does not move at all on it's own like the larger hamsters, there is just a ball on the bottom so that it can be moved around if pushed.
